Patterned after
a good old antique froe with some minor improvements, we start with 1⁄2"
tool steel and taper the blade top to bottom with a slight convex shape so
you don't get stuck in the material. This also helps
initiate
the rive. Our froe comes with a square pole so that the hardwood handle does
not rotate.
